Conference User Guide DESIGN
Concept Project
Redesigned and typeset the user’s guide for the Association Typographique Internationale’s (ATypI) 2019 typographic conference, which took place in Tokyo, Japan.

INSPIRATION
Signage on Japanese storefronts, as well as the placement of characters on tall, narrow signage, influenced the shape of the guide.
PATTERN CREATION & PROTOTYPES
The illustrated master pattern was inspired by Japanese textiles. Pieces of this pattern were dispersed throughout each section of the guide.
The first prototypes were printed at a smaller size to ensure correct print settings, as well as to review color, format, and function.
