NATIONAL LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM
BRAND IDENTITY REDESIGN
Student work
The National Lighthouse Museum (NLM), located in New York, strives to preserve and educate visitors on lighthouses and their importance in maritime history. A redesign was explored to expand the museum's identity to include a flexible logo, revamped color palette, and patterns that recall the illustrations from 1900s nautical maps.

LANTERN HEADS

The logo contains a flexible identity, where lighthouse lantern heads can be alternated, not only representing lighthouses in New York, but also across the United States.
NLM LIGHTHOUSE PASSPORT & STAMPS
At NLM, visitors can receive stamps of lighthouses they have visited across New York City. These stamps are collected in the lighthouse passport book specially designed for the museum.
The book also comes with a poster that marks the locations of lighthouses near the museum.
